Corrections

An honest blog should be judged not by whether it makes mistakes, but by what it does when it finds one. So here is our answer, in the open: every correction we've made, with the date and the reason.

Nothing on this page points a finger at anyone else. It is only us, keeping our own promise — don't trust us, check us; and when we're wrong, watch us fix it.

Spotted something that still looks wrong? Tell us on the Contact page, and you'll see it added below.

  • 4 July 2026 — "How Safe Is Your Money in a Bank?" We had listed the UK deposit-protection limit as £85,000. It had risen to £120,000 on 1 December 2025. Corrected, with the date shown in the post.
  • 4 July 2026 — "The World's Fastest Rise From Poverty" We described South Korea as "one of the ten largest economies." It had slipped to around the 13th–14th largest. Corrected to the accurate rank, with a source.
  • 4 July 2026 — "How Safe Is Your Money in a Bank?" The Korea Deposit Insurance (KDIC) source link had gone dead (a 404). We replaced it with a working link. A blog that says "check me" cannot leave a broken link standing.
  • 4 July 2026 — "Two Ways to Save" A source link we could not verify ourselves was removed. Instead, we now show the arithmetic in full, so you can reproduce the result on your own.

This page will only grow over time. That isn't a weakness — it's the receipt for a promise kept.
