About — Who Writes This, and Why You Can Trust It

Short version: I'm not a financial expert or a licensed advisor. I'm an ordinary person who got tired of hype — the "get rich fast," "guaranteed returns," fear-mongering kind of money content — and decided to write the opposite: calm, honest, source-checked truth about money, for ordinary people anywhere in the world.

I write in English here, and in Korean at my other blog, 올리버의 정직한 금융 (Oliver's Honest Finance).

What I promise

  • Honesty over cleverness. If I don't know, I say so. I never make up numbers.
  • Every fact links to its original source. Don't take my word for it — check me.
  • No fear, no hype, nothing to sell. No affiliate links, no sponsors deciding what I write. I will never tell you to buy something; if that ever changes, I'll say so at the top of the post.
  • I never attack or judge others. I hold myself to a strict standard instead.

How this is made (nothing hidden)

I use AI tools to help research and draft, and I don't hide that. But a human — me — verifies every fact against primary sources and takes responsibility for what's published. It's not "who-knows-who-wrote-it" content; it's "a real person checked this and stands behind it."

Why trust me? Don't — verify me.

That's the whole point. You don't need to know my name to check my facts. Read a claim, follow its source, and decide for yourself. An honest blog should survive your suspicion, not ask you to switch it off.

A note of respect

I'm Korean, and I love where I come from — a country that rose from almost nothing through patience and honest work. That spirit is behind everything here. But the lessons are for everyone: money works the same way in every language.
